Nōshi

The brief for Nōshi was to move away from the traditional restaurant layout and instead deliver a space rooted in moody glamour and sharp, high-end dining. We focused on creating an environment that transitions effortlessly from a refined dinner setting to a high-energy late-night destination, ensuring the atmosphere matched the intensity of the menu. It was about building a venue that feels intentional and exclusive, where the design provides a backdrop for a “made to be seen” cultural experience in the heart of Nottingham. The interior execution centres on a high contrast palette, utilising heavy black marble surfaces paired with precise liquid gold accents. To balance the dark, atmospheric lighting, we installed a cherry blossom canopy that adds a necessary layer of texture and visual height to the room. Every element was chosen to reinforce a sense of decadence without sacrificing the “underground” edge that makes the venue unique. The result is a seamless, high-spec fit out that proves design and hospitality are inseparable. For those looking for a space where the aesthetic is as considered as the cuisine, Nōshi has become a Nottingham essential.
